Large Pot Lid Lifter

This handy tool lets you easily lift the heavy, burning-hot lid from an iron pot or Dutch oven while keeping your hands well away from the hot metal and the escaping steam. It consists of a rigid bar of rust-free metal with handles at either end and a central hook. The hook slides under the handle of a pot lid, and then the bar can be used to lift the hot lid away from the pot so you can stir the contents, serve them, or check on their cooking progress.
